Geocashing and Smores

Geocashing and Smores – Sunday, Jan. 15 at Hiwassee/Ocoee State Park (1:00pm to 3:00pm).

Are you ready for the world’s largest treasure hunt? Come join us and discover for yourself just how there is an adventure happening all around you thru geocaching.

During this program, we will learn how to operate and use your smart phone/GPS device to locate geocaches (hidden treasures with grid coordinates). After this family friendly ends, all participants will be invited to share the warmth of a campfire and will have the opportunity to enjoy some smores with Ranger Jeremy.

Winter is the perfect time to explore with us the broad and unique world of GEOCACHING.

Participants will need to bring a camp chair and their own GPS device to navigate with.

WHO: Children and adults ages 6+. Minors will need to be accompanied by an adult/guardian.  Also, the attendee will need to be able to walk along moderate difficulty outdoor trail for up to 1.5 miles.

WHEN: Sunday, 1/15/2023   1:00pm-3:00pm

FEE: $5.00 per participant
