National Trails Day Hike McGhee-Carson Wildlife Area 2023
National Trails Day Hike – Saturday June 3 at McGhee-Carson Wildlife Area (10:00 am to 12:00pm).
Join Ranger Gamble for a special guided hike in honor of National Trails Day through some of the historic sites at the McGhee-Carson Wildlife Area. Learn about the history of the Little Tennessee River Valley from early indigenous inhabitants to European settlement and the time of the McGhee plantation.
We will meet at 10:00 AM EST to get going on this roughly 2.5 mile moderate hike. Don’t forget to bring water and please dress for the weather. See you there! this event is free, but donations are always welcome. 423-420-2331
