The Tennessee Overhill region has plenty of equestrian trials. The trails below are part of the Ocoee & Hiwassee Ranger District.
More Information
Black – Designated Hiking Trails. Foot traffic ONLY.
Blue – Designated Mountain Biking Trails. Hiking is allowed. Equestrian use prohibited. Mountain bikers please yield to hikers. Mountain bikes are prohibited in wilderness areas.
Red – Designated Equestrian Trails. Hiking is allowed. Mountain bikes are prohibited.
Green – Shared-use trail: Open to foot traffic, mountain bikes and equestrian use. Motorized prohibited.
Purple – Designated Motorized trial. Hiking, mountain biking and equestrian are allowed. Motorized use limited to motorized trail bikes and motorcycles.

Pine Ridge Trail – FS Trail 99. Length: 3.6 miles. Rated: Difficult. Multiple use trail – Hiking and Equestrian. Motorcycles and mountain bikes are prohibited.
Brookshire Creek Trail – FS Trail 180. Length 5.7 miles. Rated: Moderate. Multiple use trail – Equestrian, Mountain Bike and Hiking. Motorcycles are prohibited[/vc_wp_text]

Unicoi Mountain Trail – FS Trail 117. Length: 7.9 miles. Rated: Moderate. Shared use trail – Equestrian, Mountain Bike and Hiking.
Little Citico Horse Trail 1 – FS Trail 165-1. Length: 1.5. Rated: Easy. Multiple use trail – Mountain Bike and Equestrian. Motorcycles are prohibited.
Little Citico Horse Trail 2 – FS Trail 165-2. Length 5.6. Rated: Difficult. Multiple use trail – Equestrian, Mountain Bike and Hiking. Motorcycles are prohibited.
